Jenna Peterson, that lucky girl! She’s heading to China in a few days.
I’d love to travel more. If I had to pick ONE place I’d really like to see, I’d like to visit the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan! Who could resist a place called, “Land of the Thunder Dragon”?

I didn’t know much about Bhutan until I watched Matt Lauer’s piece about the country. Bhutanians (I believe I just made that word up) have the highest gross national happiness factor in the world.
A few months back, I tried to think of a way to work Bhutan into SO STILL THE NIGHT, but it’s not going to work out. Perhaps for a future book.

I LOVE this picture. So beautiful. What a view.
Of course, I’d love to visit a place like that, but I’d be too fearful to actually live on the edge of the cliff. What if there were an earthquake or a mudslide? What if you sleep-walked? I never have, but one likes to keep one’s options open.

by Kim Lenox March 9th, 2008 at 2:43 pmI want to go to Transylvania! That whole Romania/Dracula bit is so interesting!
But I want to go with COMPANY! I’m a chicken. Bok bok!

I’d love to go to Transylvania too! We’d have to take Lord Lenox (tall, dark czech!) though because that’s where his ancestors are from. That’s right! His parents almost named him Ivan. No lie. I even let him bite me on the neck!
