I have no business blogging, being that I’m so close to my Monday deadline. But … look at the pretty bird. Can you see her?

She’s in a nest, right outside my window, and she’s got two eggs. She’s been sitting on them for about a week, eyeballing my cats, who like to sit on the windowsill and lick their chops at her. But yes, she’s sitting there just like I’ve been sitting in my chair at my computer. I’m convinced those little suckers are going to hatch the moment I turn in my manuscript.
Here’s another type of wildlife.

Do you see its scary, ravenous teeth, ripping into my pages? I’m afraid to refer directly to its true name, as I’m fearful my computer will tell it that I’m talking bad about it. The unnamed device always seems to know when I’m on a deadline, and reacts according to its evil nature. I almost always edit on the screen, but I do like to do a last read through on paper.
I’m glad everyone liked Archer’s sweater yesterday. As I knitted it, with my tiny knitting needles, I hummed the Weezer sweater song. “If you want to destroy my sweater … pull this thread as I walk away (As I walk awayyyy). Watch me unravel, I’ll soon be naked, lyin’ on the floor, lyin’ on the floor! I’ve come undooooone!”
At least that’s how I remember the words.
