Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’m sorry to have been so absent from the blog over the past week, but I’ve had the flu. Yuck! I haven’t been sick in a very long while like this, and it’s just no fun. I’m blaming the cart at the grocery store for whatever foul germ I must have picked up.
Thank you to those of you who have been visiting the site, and also to those of you who have sent me such wonderful e-mails about NIGHT FALLS DARKLY. I’m a bit behind on responding, but I will very soon! I really can’t describe how much those e-mails mean to a writer.
If you are traveling for Thanksgiving, travel safely. My family is traveling, and I’m looking forward to seeing my relatives — even though they may quarantine me in some back room, and shove my Thanksgiving meal under the door (with a side order of Theraflu!).
Over at Silk & Shadows, this week we’re talking about: Romance Heroines!

Hope you’re feeling better. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

by Dina November 27th, 2008 at 10:24 pmHappy Thanksgiving and get well soon. Was glad to read that someone else’s home looks like mine. The piles of books, wonderful books from the 1800′s, more cookbooks than I can ever use. my poor husband doesn’t really understand, but keeps building bookcases. I didn’t move around a lot a as a kid, but did live at the library. I’m now the children’s librarian at our small county library and love it. It is great to talk with kids and help them find books they will really enjoy -not just something they have to read. I’ve just discovered you and look forward to reading your books.
by Patricia Barraclough November 30th, 2008 at 12:33 amThanks for all the wonderful Thanksgiving well wishes! I had a great time with my extended family, but yes — spent some time in the back room, away from everyone. I didn’t want to get any of the older relatives (okay, OR the younger relatives sick!)
Patricia — I think it would be so much fun to be a librarian, especially in the smaller county libraries! I just remember our little local library as such a wonderful place. I bet the adults thought it was old and musty and a bit run down, but for me, it was Heaven!
