I couldn’t let the day close without mentioning Pearl Harbor …
I was fortunate enough to go to Hawaii in June of 2007. As our plane flew into the Honolulu airport, there was a moment when the entire plane went silent, and that was the moment when the USS Arizona became visible, under water beneath the Pearl Harbor Memorial.
We also went to the Memorial. If you ever get a chance to go, do so. There are so many stories worth hearing, and men and women worth remembering.
