More Blatherings

I love that word, blatherings. It describes my blog posts so well. I guess those of you who are regulars here have realized by now that I have no “platform”. I just sort of yammer. I save all my real, heavy thought for my writing, and let me tell you, I have been deep in mind-bending thought over the outline for Book 3 in the Shadow Guard series. I’m presently using the working title DARKER THAN NIGHT. We’ll see if that sticks.

In other news … I’m blogging at Yankee Romance Reviewers today. See what I recommend for this year’s big Christmas gift! I’m giving away a copy of NIGHT FALLS DARKLY, as well as a pretty journal to some lucky commenter!

And don’t forget that I also hang out over at SILK & SHADOWS with a couple of other very talented writers. I went to the book store to find Allison Chase’s newest release, and they were out. So I’ve ordered it off Amazon, and I can’t wait for it to arrive!!! But more prizes there! If you comment this week, you’re entered for a chance to win a cool prize package from debut Signet Eclipse author Jessa Slade.

Everyone have a great day! I’ll spend mine catching up with my job (I work from home for an engineering firm), and jumping into my outline for DARKER THAN NIGHT.

Is a Kindle on your Christmas List?

From Publisher’s Marketplace:

No More Kindles for X-Mas
Amazon is sold out of Kindles and is saying that it will take “11 to 13 weeks” to ship new orders. A notice on the site says, “Due to heavy customer demand, Kindle is sold out.”

As ever, theories abound, while facts are few. Did Oprah drive more sales than expected? Are they letting the current version of the Kindle sell out while they prepare to replace it with Kindle 2.0?
