I’ve gotten out of the habit of watching movies, but I watched a couple this past weekend!
I watched THE DUCHESS with Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes. Very good. Lord Lenox even enjoyed the flick. I would watch this one again.
Then we watched APPALOOSA with two of my favorite actors, Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen. I like Westerns, and I also really enjoyed this one. I thought the romance storyline (involving Rene Zellweger) was interesting …
And then I got sucked into ROAD TO PERDITION that was showing on TV. Another great movie I hadn’t seen before — Jude Law really stood out to me, in his role as a hit man, hired to kill another hit man (Tom Hanks). Ugh! What a repulsive character. Very good acting on his part especially.
And then, to round out the movie experience, we watched STEPBROTHERS. Oh, gosh. I had such high hopes for this one, but … hmmmm. Hit or Miss? It was a miss for me. Sorry Mr. Farrell.
What about you? Have you watched any good DVDs lately?

Actually, I just watched Made of Honor last night and was completely bored. I suppose it doesn’t help that I was firmly in the Kevin McKidd camp on yumminess..not so much getting the Patrick D. thing…but it seemed tired and cliche and predictable.
